Present me wrapped in a box for future me

This box is bright and fun just as I would say I am. On the inside, it's includes pictures with my closest friends and souvenirs such as movie tickets and gift cards. I chose stuff that would remind future me of all the people at are currently important in my life. I also chose stuff the would remind me of the fun I had and adventures I embarked on. I contributed articles about professional runners and events that have recently happened such as the strength that arose from the tragic Boston bombing. I can only hope that future me still enjoys the things I find passion for now such as running and movies. I see myself opening this box with a smile.

Final Farewell

For these past four years, I've been trying to get into this creative arts class. Finally, my senior year, my final year here at Haddon Twp, it fit into my schedule. This has definitely been my favorite class and something to look forward to at the end of each day. No matter how stressed I was, I could walk into this room and feel at peace, and free to explore. I've learned a lot about art this year, real art, and not just childish doodles. For my birthday I even received tickets to the art museums, and sketch books with art supplies to continue with the skills I've discovered this year. My favorite project this year was definitely the modern totem pole. It was really cool to watch everyone's come together and tell a story. I'll miss this class, but now is our time to depart. This is Alicia Pipkin, signing out.

The most magical place on Earth

The adventure of Disney hit a peak on the day we went to Animal Kingdom and the Magic Kingdom. No matter where you were in the park, you could look up and see the grand Circle of Life Tree. Here every possible animal was carved into the majestic trunk. Off to the side sat a giant mountain in the distance filled with laughs and screams of joy. Expedition Everest was a roller-coaster that twisted around and in and out of "Mt.Everest", which we rode 4 times. After the nausea set in, we decided to take it easy and take a ride through the safari. The safari was easily one of my favorite things about Animal Kingdom because of all the exotic animals. Finally after 7 hours in Animal Kingdom, we left and arrived to the core of Disney World, the Magic Kingdom. We ran around the park in search for princesses and characters. Fortunately we got to meet Daisy and Minnie. As the sun set and crowds gathered,  the castle slowly started to glow with lights and graphic projections. The graphic were a timeline of Disney's movies and when they reached present day, the fireworks began. The fireworks were truly magical and emotional. As you stand there in awe, it sets in that the end is nearing and that you and all your friends will soon be gone into another chapter of life. The fireworks ended with shooting stars, mass amounts of  lights, and a glisten in my eyes. The night had finally came to a close.

Pop Art

After studying Andy Warhol's pop art and mass-production style, I was really inspired with my print. I created my print off of a small Cinderella figure. After making several prints with it, I decided it needed something else, so I created a princess carriage print to pair with the princess. As a huge Disney fan, the mass production of Cinderelle and her carriage was quite fun to me. I even had friends who wanted me to create print posters for them. This project was definitely one of my favorites.

Art x3

It was an interesting experience working with something I had to "let go" of twice. I was attached to my original piece and didn't want to give it up. Second piece I was given to work with did not give me much room for change or much to work with. I was glad to let go of that one. My third piece had elements that really inspired me like the wonder women. In the end I was really pleased with my final art piece. The life lesson learned here was to work with what life gives you; you may surprise yourself with what you can do.

Fortune Cookie inspired

My fortunes were future and personality oriented; "Your future is as boundless as the lofty heave," and "you have an unusually magnetic personality." To represent a promising future, I used an interview cutout of an Olympian who, too, has a boundless future. Tina Fey represents my magnetic personality because she is the queen of comedy and doesn't take herself too seriously. The sponged red background comes from my fortune "summer." In all my work depicts what I aspire to be in the future.
